Editorial Review for S.N.O.B. – by Joanna Currier
In Short
Candlelit oak dominates the decor at this handsome Polk Street hideaway, from the rough-hewn wine barrel furnishings to the gleaming, polished bar. Though named in reference to wine-growing regions, "snob" could very easily mean "south of Nob Hill" -- with a totally un-snobby attitude to match. Friendly, knowledgeable staff guides patrons through the ever-growing list of carefully chosen varietals and small-batch, boutique wines. Nut and cheese plates are available, or order delivery from a local restaurant.

I've been to SNOB a bunch of times and always have a good time. The wine list is ok, but it changes often enough that I find something I like. It is not the best selection but it is a good place to hang out. I find myself there on Saturdays a lot when I get off work. The bartender is really cool and not bad to look at. I think the owner only hires girls since I haven't seen a guy behind the bar since they opened. They let you order in food from the Thai place next door. Definately a plus. Check this place out. Don't expect top quality wines but decent.
