A Great Find!. The hubby and I wanted to have Thai for lunch on a Sunday but our favorite restaurant (My Thai) was not open until dinner. We went by the reviews posted here, and we are so glad we tried this place!

The restaurant has a modest setting but the service was good. The menu had a lot of offerings, beyond your typical curries, pad thais, etc. but also had the basics. We had the Chicken Tom Yum, which had a really good balance of sour and spicy with lots of meat and mushrooms; Chicken Green Curry was equally flavorful. We were going to try the Pad Thai as well but the Crab Noodles caught our eye on the menu and that, too was very good - with lots of crab and the noodles had great texture (neither too dry or too wet). For dessert we had the mango with sticky rice which was perfect to end the meal. It also seemed like the portions were bigger than we typically got at other places as we were able to take the rest home to eat later.

My only drawbacks for Tammada is that their Thai tea was too milky for my taste, and they didn't have a to-go menu for me to take. But compared to the great food and the reasonable prices these drawbacks are easy to get over. We will definitely come back!

Not so Tammada. Tammada mean simple in THAI, according to the people at the restaurant (friendly I might add). The food is very authentic love the food and service. If you are planning to come to Union City Thai temple don?t forget to stop by Tammada. Ask anyone in the temple they'll tell you how to get to tammada. I love papaya salad, Tom Yum and my favorite Spicy Catfish w/ rice. Humm, I?m already hungry just mentioning it. Well g2g and get the food and don?t forget to come and check out the place.

great Thai food. My friends and I needed a place 1/2 way between Oakland and San Jose to meet for dinner. We saw this place and LOVED it. The sevice was awesome, and the food even better. we will go back often.

Best Phad Thai and Red Curry. The phad thai with thin noodles was very flavorful and amazingly delicious. The red curry sauce was YUMMY! It was not watery. In fact, it was very saucy and perfect flavor. The house Cabarnet was good and inexpensive. The service was good and quick. It went well with the food. The table by the window is the place to be seated...can be romantic or for just friends.

Excellent service and authentic thai cuisine. I moved to Union City 2 years ago, and Tammada Thai continues to be my favorite restaurant to eat at. The service is excellent and the food exceptional.

After coming back from Thailand, my taste buds could only appreciate the authentic stuff. Tammada Thai is the real deal. My favorite dishes by far have to be the green curry chicken and the glass noodle salad. If you're a fan of spicy dishes, ask them for hot or thai hot and I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

The best Thai food ever!!!. I must admit, I wasn't a big Thai food fan...until...I tried Tammada! A co-worker of mine recommended this place to me, and I'm glad I took her advice! My brother eats Thai food frequently, and said this is the best he's ever had! Tom Yum w/shrimp is highly recommended as well as the Steamed Sea Bass! Yum!!!
