Danville >Chateau De Sable
great spa place right in the middle of town. The place has a lot of warmthness, has a homey feeling to it. The staff were very good and accomodating and made you feel right at home and relaxed. What made this spa really stand out, was that the staff took their time. The presentation of the whole place, decor etc. was wonderful. Overall, it was a wonderfully pleasant experience. I would definately visit this spa agian.
Fun and Relaxing. Just move into area and needed to find a place to relax and unwind !!! Wow what a nice experience and a friendly staff. The spa massage was perfect, ask for Christy, she is great !!!. This place is like going to a French Chateau, the ambience, and nice atmoshere is like none what I have seen or been to, a real treat for yourself. I even found a hairstylist, Marie is so patient and its nice to find someone who really cares. She must be pretty good, couldn't get booked any earlier than about a week so looking forward to that. For now, getting a facial done . No disappointments and I was told the spa is under new ownership who is so nice.
Best Facials Ever!.
I have no idea where the previous two reviewers went, but it certainly couldn't have been the same spa I've come to love. The spa is immaculate, and all of the staff that I've met are extremely friendly and go above and beyond to give the best customer service experience possible. I highly recommend Claudine, she is by far the most talented and skilled esthetician I've ever had.
I followed Claudine here from Amour de Femme, she is an amazing skin care expert. She has been super patient and diligent in helping me get my skin under control. (I thought you were supposed to break out in high school, not your mid 20's!) Through her services and the right products, my skin has completely turned around. Every time I see a friend I haven't seen in a while they comment on how much better my skin looks than it did 6 months ago. If that isn't testament enough to her abilities, then I don't know what is. But Claudine's real magic isn't just in improving problem skin, but in overall pampering and treatment. A number of people I know have used her services, and always walk away with glowing skin and a big smile.
The spa itself awesome. Every room has it's own style, but the place all fits together well. Everything is extremely clean, and well decorated.
I met some of the other staff when I was in there last, and everyone is so friendly and laid-back. Considering the location and price range, I was surprised that the people there weren't in the least bit snobby or pretentious. There is nothing worse than going to a spa for pampering, and feeling like you are a fish out of water. As a SF transplant to the land of suburbia, it's really easy to feel out of place in the Tri-Valley because I don't drive a fancy new car or wear $200 designer jeans or carry big name label handbags.. So I can appreciate a place that treats all of their clientle the same regardless of all the flashy material stuff. I can't wait to try some of the other services here.
High prices, low service.
I visited this shi-shi spa for a pedicure and facial. I was completely nonplussed by the service, amenities and staff. The service was one step above terrible; seemed like a facial that a bored stay at home mom was giving a girlfriend. I think my facialist may have actually been a bored stay-at-home-mom. I looked for any kind of license I could find hung on the wall, of course, nothing. Towells were as lukewarm as the staff. The amenities were laughable, a little steam room perhaps? Sauna? Sheesh. For the price paid, I expected more. But unfortunately I think any clients they get are solely to help pay thier most likely high rent. The pedicure - a metal bucket. Need I say more? I needed an Ibuprofin for my back afterwards. I've never longed so much for the sounds of Vietnamese squawking at my regular $25 mani/pedi place.
On a side note, I booked a second service there not too long ago (only because a few friends had decided on a "girls spa day" here before consulting me) needless to say, I decided not to act like the cold wet towel they would inevitable use on us, and went forwad with my booking. It was bitter sweet when I had to cancel my service two days prior due to a conflict. However, as mentioned in another comment, they are more interested in lining thier pockets so this was no 5 star customer service experience. They denied a refund (I had to pre-pay Chateau de Sable when I booked), and would only give me a credit. I ultimately had to dispute the service charge with my credit card company.
Don't waste your time visiting this small day spa. The worst experience I ever had is at Chateau de Sable, in Danville, CA. The experience was so bad, I asked to speak to the owner. I explained the situation to the owner and her response was quote "I don't care". I will never return here and I suggest you don't either. They are less than a one star but the computer does not give me the option of giving them the correct rating.
Relax, unwind, peaceful setting....THIS place is for you!. I'm sick of salons where "everyone" has to air out there dramas, either by yelling or with a severely annoying tone....trust this girl loves to talk, but have some class. BUT wait, is there such a place where you can actually enjoy your exprience WITHOUT noise? Well, yes..there is. It's Chateau DE Sable Day Spa in downtown Danville. I was driving in town and found it by chance. This boutique style place is too cute. Christine, my hair gal, is wonderful. She does not pressure you to do "what's IN", nor hard sale on products. I always, always, leave feeling absolutely fabulous. This place is a sweet gem!
