Fantastic Old Oakland eatery. Went to Jesso's for the first time and absolutely loved it. Live music, diverse eclectic crowd, quaint kind-a funky interior, authentic cajun/soul food that was out of this world. My boyfriend and I were very impressed with the place. Ton's of safe, street parking, quirky neighborhood vibe, awesome little underground bar across the street. To sum it up it was just.............cool! Watch out, the portions are HUGE! Even if you decide to go for a healthier option like the grilled fish instead of fried, you will NOT be disappointed. Very reasonably priced and the service was terrific. Bottle of decent wine, dinner for two, and an appetizer for $50.00 out the door! The price, service, great food, and ambiance make this a must visit!
