Fresh, delicious and warm. This local cafe is a gem to the Glenview neighborhood. I love coming here for breakfast, lunch or brunch with friends or alone.

I love everything on the menu and the Southern influence makes it unique. Everything is always fresh and presented in such a way that each meal is a treat.

My two favorites are the Shrimp and Grits and Salmon and Eggs topped with Creme Fraiche.

The staff is always so friendly, the energy is so positive and if I want to stop by for just a cup of coffee and a fresh pastry I feel like I'm treating myself to a little gift.

Great vibe with a true neighborhood feel.

Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Locals flock for eclectic brunch menu items including omelets, biscuits and shrimp and grits at reasonable prices.

Worst Breakfast. I read that Blackberry Bistro was so good, and that they had the best homemade biscuits. I went there this morning for breakfast with my coworker on our way to work. Right away we where told that there was no sour cream for the potatoes and no sourdough. 5-10 minutes after ordering I was told that it would be twenty minutes for a biscuit. The waitress ask me to order toast instead. When they brought my meal the I got two tiny ends of bread that where blackened and hard as a rock. The poached eggs where terrible and the potatoes where very undercooked. The tea was good, but they leave the leaves floating in the teapot so if you don't drink it fast it becomes real bitter. After leaving I was still hungry. Worst...Breakfast...Ever. Thanks.

It's a long, long time from ordering to being served. The place opens at 8a.m., we arrived at 8:15a.m., were seated outside promptly. By 8:20a.m. we placed our orders. It was past 9:05a.m. by the time the food was brought to our table. We asked several times about our order while we waited and waited and waited, and we were informed "in 5 minutes" (which turned out to be 20 minutes), "your tag is coming up soon" (several tables who arrived after we did were served before we were). The severs are airheads. The shrimp and gritz was very good, the bacon and eggs were forgetable.

BRING A GOOD BOOK TO READ OR BETTER YET, GO SOME PLACE ELSE FOR BREAKFAST!!!

Fantastic Food. I absolutely love this restaurant. I always get the shrimp and grits (THE BEST!!!) but everything that comes out of the kitchen looks wonderful. The people I dine with usually order the daily special and rave about it.

User review by nhoj63. Good food . . . horrible service. I signed the sign-in sheet and waited for the waitress to call my name while my wife and our young children waited in the car directly in front of the restaurant. The waitress called our name. I told her that my wife and young children were in the car directly in front of the restaurant and got everyone out in one minute. To my utter shock the owner gave away our table! It took 40 minutes for our food. They forgot our order. I had decaffinated coffee and the waitress gave me a refill with caffinated coffee. When I told her that my wife had the regular coffee and I had the decaff she giggled and left me with regular and my wife's coffee unfilled. The check came, we paid the bill and it sat on the counter for another ten minutes unprocessed.

Go on a warm day. If you make it up to Glenview and find parking expect to be waiting for a seat at Blackberry. Your wait might be shorter is you are willing to sit outside on a rainy day. But to be honest... it's worth it. The food is GREAT and breakfast... i love breakfast and they do it right. A saki bloody mary YEAH!

Best potatoes ever!. I'm a pciky potato FANATIC, so I was so happy to find The Blackberry Bistro. They truly have the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had. I was served a lovely biscuit as well. I'll definitely be back to try their tofu scramble (and more potatoes of course!)
