Our favorite and oh, so reasonable!. Due Rose has been in Pinole for at least 6 years and it is a favorite local treasure. The food is consistently delicious and prices much less than popular chains. For intimate or cozy meals, Due Rose is perfect. Chef Pedro and his wife and daughters are wonderful too, very accommodating and remember "regulars." While I don't have a lot of discretionary dollars to spend out, I have hosted a few important familiy gatherings there all because of the reasonable pricing, accessible space, and quality of the food. Any dish is delicious - rich-tasting braised shanks with polenta, extravagant seafood pasta, warm-dressed salads, delicious gelato. My daughter, since 8 years old, has claimed that the child's plate "Macaroni al Formaggi will change your life!" Highly recommend Due Rose.

Good Local Food!. This is a great place to go if you want to stay local. It's basically the same menu you would fine at higher priced italian places. The dinning room is basic, which is why the prices stay reasonable. The chefs are very friendly and willing to accomadate any food issuses you may have. A must go to stay local. Deserts are great and try the lobster pasta!
