Horrible Service!. We attempted to go there for dinner last night. We had called for a reservation but were late. The restaurant was empty but we were treated very rudely by the manager/owner who seated us. We apologized for being late as that our out of town guests got lost. He continued to rudely tell us we missed our reservation time. He continued to treat us rudely throughout seating us so we left. I can understand it the restaurant is busy but it was empty! I would recommend never going to a restaurant that doesn't want business and doesn't put their customers first. Especially when restaurants need business right now. There are many more wonderful restaurants in Walnut Creek that deserve our patronage. We went to 1515 and had an amazing time!
Food cold. Everyone's vegetables were cold and the lamb had a spicy unusual taste to it. Server tried to be accomodating but we won't go back.
Editorial Review. Enjoy a selection of Mediterranean food and specialty drinks at Silk Road Restaurant in Walnut Creek.
Good Food. I occasionally dined here with my friends and I; the service was reasonable, the food was well-priced (but delicious), and it was pretty quick (even when it was busy). If you are absolutely starving, the endless supply of fresh pita bread on each table should hold you over. However, if you want a fancy dinner in a quiet atmosphere, I wouldn't recommend dining here.
Excuse my language, but the service stinks.
The food was OK barely. We had several small middle eastern dishes and none came out as a wow or even good. They passed...barely - The tsatziki did not! It was watery and mostly consisted of cucumbers and absilutely no flavor...
One waiter for the whole place and an owner(?) who mostly tried to look away. Barely said hello and barely said good bye when we (or anyone else) left. The table was too small for the food...so the waiter just shuffled things around and took away the condiments (including salt and Pepper).
The bonus is to be able to enjoy the side walk crownd and to be able to sit out side at night, but you can do that in a lot of other places in Walnut Creek.
To sad becuase I truly love middle eastern food! There is a better place for that kind of food in San Ramon called Cafe Esin.
not a good place to eat. I had the worst experiance at this place the service was the worst and they wern`t even busy it took 45 minutes to get my food and while wating for the food it took them another 15 minutes to bring me my wine they were kind of rude and once I did get my food it was dry (the chicken that is) with no flavor bad food and bad service.
