Pathetic Customer service. I had a terrible experience there today. I asked what the process was to order my food and the cashier was extremely rude. In fact, another customer laughed when I asked this and the cashier just enjoyed it. The other guy wouldnt call my number on purpose and kept saying 94, 94 1/2, 94 3/4. My number was 95. The place is a joke! Those people should be fired.
Don't touch the buns!.
WHY OH WHY do they let people stick their grimy hands in the bread bin? Why can't they keep the bread behind the counter like normal people. Ugh. I refuse to buy a sandwich because of this. And the long lunch lines don't help either.
They do have good olives and pannetone year round.
A little bit of garlic-drenched North Beach on the Embarcadero..
In Short
A scaled-down branch of the venerable Molinari's deli, this tiny shop replicates its famous sandwich menu. The utilitarian corner space is densely packed with Italian dry and canned goods, while the refrigerated section has a small but impressive selection of cheeses, olives, salamis, sauces, prepared lasagnas and eggplant casseroles. There are plenty of clerks on hand to cover the daily lunch rush, which translates to highly personalized service during quieter times of day.
