Quality of tea is going downhill. Service was horrible. It was so different than before. They are just becoming another Samovar. Very disappointed. Good authentic tea room is disappearing. How sad!

The Ferry Building branch of the venerable Powell Street tea merchant offers approximately 70 select tea blends, which are available to be brewed on the premises or to take home. A round openwork doorway opens onto an informal warren of yellow walls, hanging scrolls, paper lanterns and dark-wood furnishings. The waiters glide like Zen masters in collarless coats, bearing trays laden with all the accessories for tea service as well as dim sum dishes.
