The best auto detailing outfit we've ever tried

This is the second time we've used Mike's Custom Detailing and they are 5 stars, first-class in all departments.

They did an amazing job the first time with my Prius, keeping it a second day to get every bit of sap and bug juice off the car since it unfortunately stays outside and is the car we drive 400 miles back/forth to Southern Calif regularly. For the first time now when I wash it or hose it off, it beads up which it never did; even when we first purchased it some 4 1/2 yrs ago.

I asked and they said they put at least two coats of wax and before the finished coating. They're reasonable in price, and I've watched them work and seen the top products they use.

The only negatory isn't even their fault:

Alameda, which at times has been criticized in past years for not being as friendly as they could be to our local businesses we love and like to support(hope the great guy who just opened Yo! Philly! which is the best cheesesteak restaurant I've experienced in Northern California-brand new on Park Street)... won't allow them to put up a sign to identify their business, so make sure you have the cross street of Pearl to where Mike's is located on Central.

They just detailed my wife's BMW(and while it didn't take a second day to do everything 150% and make the car look better than new as with my Prius) their crew didn't take any breaks, working nonstop on it from 8 am to past 6 pm. She said it's never looked so good and place where kids have spilled McDonald's shakes on carpet and the vinyl stuff are completely gone. Another first-class job and we recommend Mike's to our friends.

I'd lost my second set of EXPENSIVE Toyota Prius electronic keys 3 yrs ago, thinking I'd tossed them out. Mike's head detail person actually found those keys when my wife's Beamer was being done last Friday along with cash and coins which was a God send.

They're incredible and it'd be a great holiday gift for any loved one-having their car protected and looking great. And totally reasonable in cost.

We like to hand-wash our own cars, but neither of us could've done the great job this outfit did.

How to make an old car look new

I have an 2000 Focus that has been washed often but has never been detailed. Because I have a long-haired dog who goes everywhere with me, you can probably imagine how bad the interior of the car was. They worked on my car today and it looks new. The exterior paint glows from the waxing and the interior looks as good as new. Though they put in more hours than they expected when they quoted the price, the price did not change. I HIGHLY recommend them and will be a returning customer

16yr old car is new again

By all accounts I am a neglectful car owner. I have a great little convertible that I left to fend off the weather, not to mention concrete dust by itself. The car sat for over a year with no cover. Well it finally came time to take care of it and I thought, no biggie I'll just take it up to the car wash and clean it up, not so much. The layer of concrete dust that settle on it was stuck. I realized that I needed a professional; after doing a little research, I choose Mike's. AMAZING! The 16yr old paint looks new again, the inside is perfect. The found things under the seats that I thought were lost forever. It was one of the most meticulous details I have ever had done. The car looked as good as the day I drove it home from the dealer. Jim was so polite and accomodating. Thanks.
