Elaine J. Harrison represented me in my divorce. I was married for 16 years and needed an attorney who understood all the complex issues of family law. Ms. Harrison proved to be that attorney. My fromer wife and I had a home together, several retirement plans and possible spousal support as my ex-wife had medical problems. I was advised every step of the way. very patiently, of my rights and also my ex-wife's rights. Nothing was sugar coated to get me to retain Ms. Harrison as my attorney. It was necessary to appear in court several times because my ex would not that I had any rights.

Elaine Harrison aggressively represented me. She was very calm, collected, and analytical in presenting my case to the judge. Response to my calls and emails were within timely fashion. Billing was fair and accurate. Court dates were continued a couple times, but that had a lot to do with my ex-wife's attorney, and I never felt that this was done to get extra fees.

Proceeds from the sale of the house were deposited in Ms. Harrison's Attorney Trust account, which were promptly disbursed to my ex and I, once the judge made the decision as to how they were to be distributed. And we are talking about 6 figures each.

I whole heartedly recommend Ms Harrison to anyone needing sound advise and strong representation in a divorce

Only if you want your case to drag on for years. My elderly father hired Ms. Harrison after his poorly-thought-out May-December marriage fell apart after less than three years. After a massive stroke, I had to step in and represent him ad litem. Wife was having an affair all along, moved in with her boyfriend, filed for divorce and wanted 1/2 his life savings, despite iron-clad pre-nup. It should have been a fairly simple affair but the attorneys on both sides kept dragging it on for literally years - even after he passed away! It took a judge to finally say, if the guy's dead, what are we all doing here? After about 3 years, she NEVER accomplished anything!

I never got the impression that Ms. Harrison took his case seriously. It seemed that she kept us on the hook to scrounge up as many billable hours as possible. Continuance after continuance. Eventually she got busy with other cases and completely abandoned me as a client - refusing to contact me for five months, despite multiple phone messages and letters inquiring about the status of the case. After my final letter firing her, she sent a very personal and hostile letter back with a huge bill of trumped up expenses and a threat that she would take me to court if I didn't pay in full immediately. I did paid immediately, which I had always done with her invoices.

Her website is "mensdivorceattorney.cm." but I can't help but wonder if she secretly hates men and wants them to have a bad outcome. Elaine Harrison is not the only attorney that I've worked with in my life but she's the least helpful and least pleasant.

BTW, she received a public reproval from the bar on 03/10.

Shame, shame, Elaine!. "Divorce for men" she says? My wife kicked me out into the streets as my Soc Sec Payee. Elaine left me there! Being homeless, I could not stand up for myself. Never once did she concern herself with my welfare. Never once did she stand up for my basic rights as a human being or as a divorcee. I and my children have gone through untold hell as a result of this. When I fired her for incompetance, she wrote to my wife's lawyer and complained about me! I then walked home to the only place I knew, which is when my wife called the police. That was my entry into the criminal "justice" system. I could go on and on but, my therapist says to let it go. Oh, by the way. My wife paid her upfront for all her "hard work"!

Stay away!!!. This person gives sharks a bad name. She will sit in court and cower if the other attorney has anything agressive to say. She will cheat you on your bill and then threaten you if challenged. The old saying about representing yourself and having a fool for a client! Being represented by her makes you a fool. Her only "published" case is one that she came so close to being sanctioned (not good) that she was almost disbarred.
