Cool place -- check it out!. Mika is a comfortable place with excellent staff. I see both Marica and Judy who are both true professionals. They do excellent work and maintain underscored elegance with a sense of humor. It is a relaxing and friendly atmosphere and not the generally pulsating music trauma/drama of many popular salons and their personnel. And there are a lot of dog lovers there as well -- woof!

Mika Specialty Salon - thanks Veronica!. I have had some of my best haircuts this last year with Veronica at Mika. As a woman with very thick, short hair, it's hard to find someone who can shape and thin it enough to give it style and movement. Veronica is great and comes up with new ideas to keep styling fresh and new. She charges $60 which is less than other places I've tried and a much better cut. She's now highlighting it and I feel like new every time. The staff is very friendly and always give reminder calls, which I really appreciate. Definitely recommend it!

I will not come back to this salon anymore. The result of my cut is a great disappointment; especially, what I paid for ($75). I can easily get this cut at other salons for $15. My haircut was not even styled. It was just a simple haircut. I am not happy with it. since I went from having long hair to short. I had my hair cut off 12 inches. The stylist that I have lacks in experience. I asked her to give a great and styled haircut, but.what a great disappointment....One thing I have to say the staff at Mika salon are very friendly. Don't ever come there. if you do, don't ask for veronica

Super professional cut!. Was looking for a new stylist in Walnut Creek. Took a stab at Mika. For $70, I got excellent consultation, service, and an AWESOME cut! Invested well over an hour to define my layered locks and I'm super satisfied. Ask for Judy, she is experienced and very very professional. Overall great environment and friendly staff. Other places in WC greet you with, "You have an appointment with...?" while Mika greeted me with a friendly smile, even with a PACKED crowd. Try them!

All i asked for was a blow out. i have wavy/curly hair and made an appt. to have it straightened. After he blew it out with a hair dryer it was all frizzy and poofy and he blamed it for my hair??!! I told him i ve been too soo many places where my hair comes out perftly and shiny and silky. Is a blwo out too much to ask for? These people obiviously have no skills. Dont waste your time here.

Warning! Bad Color. Sometimes salons get too popular - they lose sight of good service - definitely the case with Mika. I'm new here and Mika was recommended. I scheduled an appointment for cut and color. Short story, the colorist slapped color on my hair and vanished for OVER AN HOUR - and I mean vanished. Finally after my head started seriously burning, one of the other colorists had to FIND my colorist. During the 1:10 minute wait with color applied, she never ONCE checked on my hair ...she just disappeared not to be found. She was too busy with all the other patrons I guess since she let me know Mika was now the "hot" salon in town...I guess it is hot if you mean chemicals burning your head. New to town?...I recommend finding another salon that isn't too popular to provide good service.

top notch!. My experience at mika salon was incredible. All of their staff were friendly & every style I saw looked great! And I absolutely love my new cut; the next time I go to mika I'm going to try out their new massage treatments too. This salon is a real gem in the East Bay I'm going to recommend it to all my friends!

Judy is Awesome!. If you have curly hair, go see Judy at Mika salon. She is fantastic at straightening and gives a great cut too
