delicious authentic korean dish!.
My husband and I found out this little gem last week, and we already visited it twice so far.
Finding a real authentic Korean dish serving restaurant in Oakland is not a very easy task. There are decent Korean bbq places in the area but not many places introduce Korean homemade warm soups.
When you get a table, servers bring barley tea, and four different kimchi which are Korean traditional spicy pickles. From the menu, I recommend "thoroughly cooked beef soup with brisket", "soft tofu soup with seafood", "steamed dumpling", and "seafood pancake". If you are not in the mood for soups, "bi-bim-bop" - one of the most popular korean dish in US, would be just as enjoyable as others.
All the dishes are most likely down home cooking style, not with fancy plates and fancy ingredients.
There was a designated parking lot behind the building which made our stay so nice and safe. The service can be hectic, since not a lot of servers are working, so you might want to howler them when you need them, but this is part of Korean cultural experience. Korean waitresses usually don't check on customers untill customers call them.
All in all, if you are interested in experiencing Korean down home cooking, you shouldn't miss this one!
(unfortunately vegetarians would not find this place too attractive)
