The colorful joint couldn't be more different from the mass-produced coffee chains. The low-key, charming meeting spot offers more than a touch of carefree '60s Berkeley attitude, with wildly colorful paintings that adorn the walls. Prices are reasonable compared to the major players (hot drinks start at about $1). The caffeine is complemented by a variety of pastries. A mix of Deadheads and techies sit for hours, drawn by the complimentary Wi-Fi service.
