Don't try to go to Emeryville without a car..
The tiny bike rack was full, so I locked my bike to a lamppost. A security guard came up and told me I'm not allowed to do that. End of shopping experience. This is more a review of Emeryville merchants in general; they'd rather lose business from people who would arrive on bikes than lose business from people who would be offended at the sight of bikes.
