The Scene
Entering this Mission storefront, you'll often be greeted by lively owner Sunhee Moon, a local designer set on creating wardrobe staples with a twist. Her boutique, like her fashions, is a minimalist space with a hip edge--white cubes stacked with folded wares, metal garment racks bedecked with dangling ensembles and steel tables piled with colorful cotton goods. Young locals and casual working women crowd the small room, awaiting their turn in the spacious, but sole dressing room.
The Goods
Simple separates that will take you from the office to after-work cocktails--think fitted cotton slacks, tailored jackets, button-down blouses--are available in a spectrum of colors and patterns, from funky florals to retro-inspired gingham and corduroy. The simple, ultra-wearable separates are named after the owner's friends, like Andrew--a cowboy-inspired snap-front top--or Nicole--an A-line skirt with pleated side detailing. Be sure to accessorize with locally designed beaded necklaces, chic hair accessories and snazzy leather handbags.

i was a religious sunhee moon shopper, until i moved across the country and had to get my fix whenever i made it back into town. but they recently revamped their website and are good about putting new stuff up on the site. The best thing about shopping in the store is the customer service, but I can call and have the woman there help me putting together an order so i can still have a taste of the experience from all the way over here.

i've always loved supporting local designers, and sunhee moon is at the top of my list. i first met the designer in her mission shop on 16th st, and she was so charming. now she has a store on fillmore in pac heights. her clothes are fun but classic. they can be worn year to year and will always be stylish. for all you girls who love comfortable, fashionable clothes, and great service this is the place to shop.
