Great turkey sandwich. At the recommendation of a family member, yesterday I visited Bacheeso's for the first time. I can only speak about the turkey sandwich which I had and was wonderful. I will definitely go back there and also recommend it. I don't understand the previous negative comments but will try the buffet next time to see if I agree with them or not.

Top 10 EVAR!. Can you imagine a concept such as 'top-shelf buffet'?

and it is WHOLESOME

Those who have ventured across the street from the Berkeley branch of Caffe Trieste know that a lively indoor courtyard and a huge menu of homey Mediterranean meals await at Bacheeso's. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available either from the menu or from the extensive buffet, which changes with the offerings at local farmers' markets. Visitors are pleased that checks placd on the colorful paisley tablecloths usually read under $10 per person.

Dissapointed. Lots of food, on closer inspection....food really bland....mass market...wilted tomatoes....mold on garlic...dirt in bok choy....on numerous ocassions when pointed this out to the server the standard reply was..."it's expected of organic food". Well, If I wanted dirt, I'd order dirt....very cheeky and trying to slide by using this term "organic".....as if that's saving grace or something. Service not bad, but the food not worth writing home about, but, definately worth writing here.

The plates and cutlery are always dirty on every ocassion, have to go through 3 or 4 plates to find one less sticky or less full of grime. Can't believe they stay in biz. preying on unsuspecting customers. Definately, not a place to have repeat customers.

Dissapointed. I have eaten at Bacheeso's three times, and I won't be returning. I went the first time on a friend's recommendation, and wasn't very impressed. It seemed like the food "looked" great, but was pretty bland and boring. The second time, I had the same impression, but everyone in my party seemed very excited and into the place. Today, I had the same impression: boring food, pretty sloppy buffet, things running out and no signs of them replacing. And then I bit into my Bok Choy, and it was full of dirt. When I told the waitress (who is the only saving grace at this location), her excuse was that it was organic. That may be, but there was dirt in it nonetheless. Overall, I am just not very impressed with the quality of the food. For $8, I can find a much better lunch! I eat out a good bit, and cook as well. I could cook better than this for myself home, and think I will next time.

Mold in food. We were pretty disappointed in this place. We found MOLD in the garlic we were eating. When we spoke to the manager about it he was rude. He appeared frustrated and outraged that we would even bring it to his attention and explained that most of the garlic is fine and that this happens with food. I let him know that I have eaten out a lot and never found mold in my food. He did not end up charging us for the meal - but his incredibly poor attitude will keep us from eating here again.

Also need to say that their "buffet" was pretty stingy. The food was nearly at its end and they didn't seem to replenish as needed.
