Friendly service from a different culture. I moved from one neighborhood salon to another when I moved cities. I prefer the small, family-owned businesses to the more expensive, cookie-cutter salons that are so prevalent nowadays. Kevin is the only guy there, and he did one stupendous job! I have very short hair that I'm just starting to grow into a bob cut, and I need full color for my full head of grey hair (I'm 48). Kevin told me the pros and cons of the color I wanted, then showed me how to achieve full grey coverage without sacrificing the color I wanted. I got a great cut; he asked me more than once how I liked it so he could adjust it to my liking. I also got a manicure and pedicure as I was going on vacation. One of the ladies is professional artist from China who used do work in caligraphy. She made a beautiful design on each of my big toes, so dainty and pretty! So what if the English isn't perfect? They all thanked me for coming in, and I only paid $65 for everything (before tip).. Now THAT'S service! My only comment is that the decor could use a little improving.

satisfaction NOT guaranteed. i used to love this place. the ladies were always nice and gave me the haircut that i wanted at an affordable price. even though they had heavy accents, i thought it was great. but the last time i went, the hairstylist wouldn't agree to cut my hair short even though that's what i asked for. after a while i decided to leave and go back the next day so they could fix it. ALL hair salons make sure you're satisfied and will fix your cut if you ask them. but when i returned, they were going to charge me for a whole new haircut! all i wanted them to do was cut a straight line across the back because i liked the layers and bangs in the front already. even when i tried to explain what the previous hairstylist did, they did not listen. in a business where satisfaction should be guaranteed, i was thoroughly disappointed. you're better off finding a $15 haircut elsewhere! at least you'll get what you want in a place where they can understand and speak english.
