Best Asian Food in Area. First of all Banyan Tree is a Malaysian /Thai / Singaporean restaurant. It?s beautifully decorated and cozy but with ample room. The flavor is a mix between Indian/Thai and Vietnamese. This is my absolute favorite restaurant in the Bay Area. I visit Banyan Tree at least twice a week. The menu is exotic and the prices are extremely fair. I always have to have two orders of their Malaysian Flying Bread and Pineapple fried rice served in a real pineapple shell. But so far everything I?ve tried so far is delicious. I also recommend getting dessert here; I like the fried bananas and the banana crepe.

The food is the best in the Bay Area but I have to warn those unaccustomed to Asian style dining that the servers might try and take away your plate before you?re completely finished or serve entrees with appetizers.

This is an excellent place to go for either lunch or dinner. I am always pleased with the consistent quality of the food and the prompt attention of the wait staff. Very highly recommended.
