Spoontonic Lounge

Spoontonic Lounge offers dim lighting and cocktails.

  • Eclectic jukebox
  • Diverse crowd
  • Photo booth

Spoontonic Lounge is located at 2580 N Main St, Suite A in Walnut Creek. It resides in the basement floor of Saroor Indian Cuisine. There are (currently) no street signs or any indication of a lounge on the property until you approach the large red door in the back of the building. The interior has the look of an ultra chic bar in a big city with colors of blue, white, and a padded orange wall. Dim lighting offers a mystery to the lounge and to its customers. Music is provided by an eclectic jukebox ranging from Etta James to Van Halen. The bar also has an old fashion photo booth. Every month, Spoontonic features art work from local artists.

Editorial Review for Spoontonic Lounge – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
Colorfully appointed and elegantly modern, this place boasts a large bar staffed by classy mixologists and a spacious lounge accented by space-age light fixtures and large, comfortable leather booths. A black light renders teeth eerily phosphorescent, while a patio area by the entrance accommodates smokers. The discreet location (tucked behind a Chinese restaurant by a freeway overpass), lures a jet-setting bridge-and-tunnel crowd that doesn't want to travel to the city to sip quality cocktails.

I was there last Saturday night around 10pm and there was less than 10 people in there. They didn't seem to have a dress code. There was lots of seating and some arcade games. This place was hard to find since there are NO signs, you just go to the back of the indian restauarant and go under and you see a blue and red light by the door and thats it! I would come here again if I had a group of people.

Pros: not crowded at all

Cons: hard to find at first, they were playing old music

Tricky to find and therefore less busy than many Creek bars downtown. Love the bouncers - attitude to the max! The art is always changing, the bartenders as always nice and attractive. Wear your opera tux or your Chuck's and t-shirt, all are a good fit for Spoontonic. If you are hungry beforehand, visit the Indian rest. above!

A suburban hipster haven seemingly plucked from the SF bar scene.  See the full editorial review.
