A Fantastic Bird Hospital. Dr. Speer is the best and the rest of the staff here is really great.

After having my bird over-diagnosed at a bird hospital here in the city and faced with deciding whether or not to go forward with expensive, stressful tests I sought a second opinion from Dr. Speer. I am so thankful that I did because it ended up that there was nothing wrong with my bird except that she needed to lose a few grams. This hospital takes a holistic approach that includes a heavy emphasis on behavioral / social approaches to bird care. And if something is really wrong with your bird, they have all the latest technology on hand to help deal with the problem. This is a "birds only" practice- no rats, lizards, guinea pigs, dogs, or cats- and they know their stuff. Totally worth the drive for me from San Francisco, because I love my pet!
