Editorial Review for Rosewood – by Erika Stalder
In Short
Single-stem flowers brighten a front cutout window, while rosewood-paneled walls add an elegant vibe. Young professionals and uber-friendly 20-somethings can kick back on armless leather love seats, or fill an impromptu dance space just beyond the bar. Two connecting back rooms, often reserved for private parties, are equipped with a second bar, lounge area and film screening room.Lined with bamboo plants, the courtyard is stocked with pine patio furniture and is the perfect sit-and-sip refuge.

Insider Tips
Save MoneyWell drinks and draft beers are half-price during happy hour (Wed-Fri 5:30pm-7:30pm).
What to DrinkA seven-drink specialty menu features the delightful Lemon Chiffon ($7)--a blend of vanilla vodka and lemon juice in a sugar-rimmed glass. It's a not-too-sour, not-too-sweet dessert of a drink.
Know Before You GoThere is a no-sportswear rule. It's probably OK to sport $120 Asics, but don't come dressed head-to-toe in a tracksuit.

"put it up your a ss". that's the attitude the bartenders have at rosewood. i went there on a friday night recently, meeting my friends and after i received my beer, dolling out a twenty, i got four dollars back. i figure a bollington doesn't cost $16 but i asked anyway, bartender confirmed it only cost $6 but that i had giving him a ten, not a twenty. back and forth we went, 20, 10, 20, 10. he gave me ten back...and some change: wittingly he prosed: "put it up your a ss" it doesn't matter if i'm right or if he's right, treating a patron like that sends the message rosewood really doesn't give a shi t about you. it's too bad. all he had to do was look in his till and find the twenty in the wrong place. don't bother with this bar."
Pros: the drink
Cons: the bartender

Tried to have a birthday party here. Phoned every day for a week, never got a call back. We went anyway since we had heard such good things. We were treated with distain and absolute rudeness by the door staff who insulted most of my friends outright. Absolutely terrible experience with the staff. The music and crowd was, however, reasonably good.
Pros: good crowd, dancing
Cons: RUDE, snotty
