Editorial Review for Cliff's Variety – by Valerie Schneider

In Short
Run by the De Baca family since 1936, the store is a place where fix-it aficionados, drag queens, toy shoppers and hobbyists of all sorts come together to talk about the weather. From pipes and plywood to rainbow flags and goofy hats, they stock everything you never knew you needed. The ultra-friendly salespeople are always happy to offer suggestions and if they don't have something in stock (very unlikely) they'll direct you to the nearest specialty shop.

User Reviews for Cliff's Variety

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

Hardware supplies, household needs (small appliances to storage bins to light bulbs and more), a gift for a friend, cool lighting - these are just a few of the reasons I make Cliff's my first stop when I go shopping. 99% of the time they have what I need (and many times what I didn't know I needed) at a reasonable price. And to top it off, the services is A+! It doesn't matter what your age, Cliffs has something for everyone (yes, they sell some really cool toys too.) Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Pros: variety, price, customer service, cool things you can't buy at a "regular" hardware store

Cons: none

Cliff's Variety has at least one of almost everything I've needed, and the best quality. The staff are always a pleasure to talk with, and refreshingly knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable, and some items cost less at Cliff's than at stores that compete only on price. (Other stores can sometimes have lower prices, e.g. for bulk quantities, but otherwise can't touch Cliff's.) Cliff's is dramatically better than any other general store I've ever seen.

Pros: location, hours, staff
