The secret behind the store's longevity is its unmatched selection. Staff here field calls from all over the world from book lovers in search of that elusive volume. You can find just about anything you want, including foreign-language books, insurgent fiction and specialized academic texts. While the entire bookstore is a feast for readers, highlights include the superb philosophy and fiction divisions. Cody's also has a small but well-chosen selection of cards and journals.
