Example of Style over Substance.
Maharani has very nice tablesettings and interesting rural Indian pictures on the walls. They seem to forget they are running a restaurant, not a museum. The samosas are small, mostly potatoes, and served with a chutney that is very minty sweet and ultimately dissappointing. There are moments like the lamb vindaloo--very spicy as vindaloo is suppose to be and most of the vegetarian dishes are bombarded with masala. But spicy and spice filled doesn't necessarily mean tasty. Overall, if you want to fire an employee or break up with a signifigant other I'd recommend this place. Ornate, but hollow inside.
