Free tasting with one of America's few sake producers is a painless way to learn about the classic beverage..
In Short
Free sake tasting lures visitors to Takara, but even after five or six cups, they manage to leave with some solid knowledge of the traditional Japanese tipple. The factory's one-room museum includes antique artifacts and an educational wall graphic of cartoon men gleefully stomping fermented rice. Still, most learning happensin the Zen-garden-esque tasting room overlooking the bottling floor, where the Takara hostess explains the complex sake spectrum as she pours and pours.

All you can taste..
Takara Sake tasting room is great. We went here for tastings on Saturday and tried somehting like 5 different Sake drinks. So buzzed after we had to go eat across the street and sit down. :) The museum and history of Sake is actually pretty cool. What is best about this place is the fact that it is in a botteling factory and you can watch them work.
