On game days, the crowd at Pyramid gets so boisterous that Berkeley students can't hear themselves drink over all the cheering. But even when Bears games aren't playing over the flat-screen TVs, students pour in for fresh beer, happy hour specials, and typical pub grub such as burgers and spicy chicken wing. Every month Pyramid hosts a trivia night and every month I get tipsy with the beer sampler and a pitcher of Heff. Good food and great beer. Staff is hit or miss though, I've had terrific waiters and pretty poor ones. Great place to go before or after a movie!

We used to go to Pyramid all the time because the beers are good and the food used to match that quality. However, in the last year or so, the menu has shrunk and the food has become too sweet and too heavy. It's still a good place to watch sports and drink with your friends. Just don't expect to get a great dinner out of it.

Strange place. Great location and pleasant attmosphere with a nice patio area. The staff is more concerned about themselves than the customers. A waiter hit on my girlfriend while I was away from the table once. The hostess made me wait 15 minutes to be seated when the place was empty because she wanted to give the waiter a little break. very strange - bad management.
