A small hotel offering free parking in a fun and funky location..
The Scene
Just north of the UC Berkeley campus, the Gourmet Ghetto district is still steeped in the groovy 1960s atmosphere it started with. Its boulevards are lined with organic restaurants and grocery stores, sidewalk tables and coffee shops full of would-be philosophers. This hotel, with its dog-friendly downstairs cafe, serves up some of the neighborhood's most popular--and biggest--cappuccinos.
The Details
The three-story brick building adorned with green awnings contains 18 small rooms. All have balconies or patios, and some feature lovely exposed brick walls. While accommodations come equipped with TVs, other standard amenities like hair dryers and irons must be requested from housekeeping. A continental breakfast is available but not complimentary.
