Kids love this circus & parents do too!

Kensington Circus is a fun, very family friendly pub. On any given night, you can find kids from 1 to 102 in this pleasant convivial bar and restaurant. They even have a kids play area. The food is excellent, particularly the Shepard's Pie, which is spicy and flavorful. Their portions are large and the chips are very good, and their selection of beer and cider is great. There's sports on the telly and there's even a dartboard! A lovely, warm place for dinner!

Bring back the wall!

Okay, wall or no wall, the Circus is still a marvelous gem of a pub, complete with a sardonic, balding scouser for a propietor. Authentic pub food, and some of the best draft beers in the Bay Area (be sure to try the Fuller's ESB). Live music, darts, and some brightly-colored plastic toys for the carpet monkeys (i.e. children). More of a family restaurant these days (rather than the dark and cozy bar it once was) but still one of the best options for expats and anglophiles alike. Cheers!
