I have rarely had service as good as what I received here. I have rarely had service as good as what I received here. Anne doesn't know me from Adam. I was visiting in the neighborhood for three weeks. I brought her my Movado Museum watch, which hadn't worked for months. She told me it needed cleaning. Several days later, I happened to be walking by. Even though I didn't have my receipt, and even though it was two days before she had promised to have the watch ready, I thought I'd see if I could pick it up. I saw a post-it on the door saying she was having lunch and I should call her cell. I did so. Less than five minutes later, there she was. She asked my name and found my watch, which was ready, and gave it to me even though I didn't have the receipt. I had a credit card with me, but she takes only cash or checks. When I told her I was leaving the neighborhood that afternoon and would have to come back from much farther away, she said I could send her a check! What century is this??? Such a thing NEVER happens! Anne prepared a self-addressed envelope for me and even put a stamp on it! You can be sure that I wrote the check and mailed it that very day. So I give Edelweiss Jewelers five stars and plan to bring my son's ailing Breitling to Anne as soon as I can.

I just love this place.. I've been coming to Edelweiss Jewelers for almost 5 years now, and I just love this place. Everything I've purchased here has been of the highest quality, and most importantly each piece is treasured by my girlfriend. So this little jewelry shop isn't good at cranking out watch battery replacements in two days. So what? You don't go to chez panisse looking for a quick burger, right? What the store is good at is making unique, custom rings (melted down from raw gold and formed by hand) and it's good at having a consistent, tasteful selection of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings. The lady who owns this shop is the anti-Zales clerk... she doesn't wear an ill-fitting pant suit, she doesn't wear flashy diamonds, and she doesn't try to sell you on some piece of crap that you don't want. Anne is a small business owner who has carved out a niche for tasteful jewelry while her competitors in the mega malls are much better suited towards replacing watch batteries (and re-sizing your rings when you get fat).

Ann is amazing!. Ann is amazing! My fiance and I happened to walk in out of the blue (an hour after she normally closed) and I asked her to take a look at my antique engagement ring which needed to be re-sized. She was more than happy to help us even though it was after hours and was very helpful. She let us know that the reason it kept turning around on my finger was because it was top heavy and she expertly added more gold to the ring and sized it at a VERY reasonable cost (about half of what we were promised at other jewelers). My fiance and I are EXTREMELY pleased with the results and I love my ring now more than ever. She also appraised it for us! I would recommend her to anyone who wants an expert jeweler who is very good at her craft.

Love their selection!. My fiance and I went ring-browsing on College Ave, and by chance Edelweiss was the first one that we went to. I adored the first ring that I looked at (an antique), and I liked the owner's quiet attentiveness. She wasn't pushy, and seemed to love her inventory and be passionate about her craft. We went on to look at other jewelry stores in Elmwood and Rockridge, and ended up back at Edelweiss a couple of hours later, and purchased the first ring. She only purchases diamonds from conflict-free sources.

This place is absolutely brilliant. This place is absolutely brilliant for making custom bands with any possible design you can come up with. Anne, the owner, is a lovely French woman with a keen artistic sensibility that is indeed a standout from cookie cutter designs that you can find at Tiffany.Make sure when you come in, don't pressure her for time; she's a perfectionist who loves designing bands.

Best store we went to. We went on to look at other jewelry stores in Elmwood and Rockridge, and ended up back at Edelweiss a couple of hours later, and purchased the first ring. She only purchases diamonds from conflict-free sources

Nice people. we would go back for other things.. Very Creative custom made bands for us: The owner and Jeweler, Anne, gave us a lot of her time to explore ways to make custom wedding bands. We were really pleased with results and even more with after service, when she re-sized one band for us. Nice people. we would go back for other things.

I recommend Edelweiss. If you're looking for something custom made not a run of the mill things by a big conglomerate, but by an artist I recommend Edelweiss
