Unbelievably Bad. This place was absolutley horrible and I have never really said that about any restaurant. The food was very strange - bland, made of substandard ingredients and definitely not Italian. Considering the low quality of the food, the prices were rather expensive. Very, disappointed. I honestly do not know how they manage to stay open given the prime real estate spot on College.
this restaurant is terrible. The food we ate here was garbage. We had two of the vegetarian pasta dishes and it was the biggest rip off I've ever found in a restaurant. The gnocchi was chewy and there were chopped canned olives all over it. My husband's sauce tasted liked canned tomatoes. The service sucked and the restaurant was freezing cold inside. They didn't even offer cheese with the pasta, and when I asked for it, they brought a bowl of the stuff from the green can. If you actually like real Italian food, you will be disappointed and broke after dining here.
Worst dining experience we ever had. Based on reviews, we tried this place. Service was horrible, even rude. After waiting half hour to get our order, food was cold, mediocre and overpriced. There's a reason the place down the street has a line, and this one sat us right away. Don't bother.
What a pleasant evening....
What a great neighborhood experience. The restaurant is homey and comfortable, food is good, service is great and panna cotta, homemade and really a treat!
Don't be fooled by the Italian place a couple doors down, this is the hidden treasure.
worth my time and money. food is decadent and unique. the use of interesting flavor combinations definitely keeps the experience new. every time i am in the berkeley area, i crave their italian food. the location is cute, however the restaurant is a bit small so there maybe a wait, but it's definitely worth it.
