Great Hotel BUT.... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Location is the only positive. My husband and I stayed there for one night and ended up switching hotels due to the run down, old, tired hotel. There is nothing boutique abou this hotel. I would only recommend this hotel for its location.

Decades of history on the edge of Cal Berkeley.. The Scene
This 1928 landmark property is located on a lively street across from UC Berkeley's historic and park-like campus. It has hosted famous '60s peace activists, some of the greatest minds of our times, and of course, students looking for a good time.

The Details
Balconies overlook the tree-filled campus and the lovely Cafe Strada., which serves up fresh food and strong espresso on the adjacent outdoor deck. Small guest rooms are complemented by the hotel's cozy lounge--complete with a fireplace and period furnishings--where in the evenings complimentary biscotti and brandy are served. This area was once the social hub of the private women's club that the building once sheltered. The old public meeting areas are now well suited for intellectual gatherings and small conferences.
