Located across the street from boutiques and near Telegraph Avenue shops, this European-style coffeehouse draws a vibrant crowd looking to people-watch and hit the books armed with a java treat and fruit tart. The shaded open-air patio is overflowing with coffee aficionados from morning to late night. The cafe, housed in an old Victorian house, serves a variety of flaky pastries, but most come for such heralded drinks as the bittersweet mocha.

God, I hope Laney04 is not an English major! He/she's right, though, in praising Strada. Good coffee, good ambience. Recommended.

I like this business because it allows you to sit in a comfortable atmosphere outside and watch people walk by as you drink coffee. This place is about the same price as others, the specialize in providing a great place to study for students. I would reccomend it. It's drawback is that it can get dark later at night, and the inside atmosphere is not as great as the outside. PROS: atmosphere CONS: lighting

Caffe Strada has the best white chocolate mochas (I miss them!) This is a great coffee place and it is a lot cheaper than any other place in Berkeley. It can get very crowded in the ordering area. It is a great place to sit outside in nice weather and the people watchjing is great. They also have good pastries. I can not speak for any other coffee drink, as I stick with the best.

It gets pretty noisy on the patio. For more intimate conversations, or to get some studying done, grab a table inside.
Parking:
Street parking can be difficult, so take the AC Transit bus to save yourself from the headaches.
