Terrific sushi and sashimi. Excellent service. Reasonable noise level.. I go to sushi restaurants a lot and have settled on Genki as my favorite. The sushi and sashimi are up-to-the-minute fresh. The presentation is lovely. The service is smiling and efficient but not rushed.

The noise level is low and allows conversation (hallelujah!).

Who said parking is difficult? The place is in a parking lot, for heaven's sake! So the atmosphere is . . . plain. But it is very pleasant -- There are usually Japanese families here -- a good sign, I figure. We go for lunch and for dinner -- we get equally excellent food and service.

Make reservations for dinner: this place is very popular for good reason.

Highly recommended.

Great weeknight place!. Super place to stop for sushi if you are in the neighborhood - service was quick, attentive, and friendly. Everything tasted great and was presented very nicely (even take-out!) Might not be the best place for a special night out, but a perfect spot when there is nothing in the fridge at home!

A great disappointment I am sorry to say. I had high expectations of this restaurant from good reviews but unfortunately the food was very disappointing. The sushi and sashimi dishes were not fresh. Plus the service was awfully slow. I would not recommend this place.

Mmmm, mmm, good.. No, it is not cambell's soup but it is always a treat.

Welcoming staff. This place really feels homey. I have dined in as well as ordered to go and the presentations and quality of the food have never dissapointed. Highly recomend the green tea with your meal. Start with some classic makis and nigiris but save room for the bento box and ask about chef specials.

Ichiban.... Whenever, I'm in the BayArea, I stay at the Golden Bear Inn because Genki Sushi is on the grounds and Cafe Fanny's is across the street, yum, yum, yum!
