Oakland >Zachary's Chicago Pizza
Great Pizza. As every other reviewer seems to have said, Zachary's is a great restaurant for pizza. We prefer their stuffed pizza. It's always a crowd-pleaser with us. Also, their half-baked pizzas are a really good idea if you are entertaining company.
ABSOLUTE BEST PIZZA in the Bay area. This pizza can not be beat at any time by any other bay area pizzeria. Their concept is truly remarkable as you decide what you want put in your order and then the wait at the table is not very long at all. How can you go wrong with the toppings that are normally on top stuffed inside and the sauce on the top. Our only regret is that we have to drive from the OC to SF to get the pizza. Heck if a round trip airflight can be had for a cheap price it would be worth flying to get this pizza. Recently there was a $9 sale for air travel from LA to SF and I had a friend that flew to SF went to dinner in SF and then came home to OC How much fun would that be No problem knowing where I would have been dining that evening GOOD at everything they do and the crowd is fun and you need to be patient because the wait is sometimes long but well worth every minute of it
Saved my night!. My kids dropped by for a surprise visit. I didn't have anything ready, so I ordered a large pizza from here. The service was very quick and the pizza was great! All my kids enjoyed it and I even had some leftovers for the next day.
Very good pizza. My friend got a pizza from here. I'm not usually into pizzas as much as she is, but I have to admit this was pretty good. I will probably go there if I'm ever in the mood for pizza again.
Zachary's Pizza = Good Grub!. Chicago can officially take a hike. You've been outdone. There's no shame in that. You're pizza is good, but Zachary's is amazing. How do they do it? Is it because they're 100% employee owned? Is it because they sprinkle magic deliciousness into the sauce? I don't know, and more importantly, I don't care. Just keep the Spinach and Mushroom stuffed pizza coming my way. Don't like Spinach and mushroom? At age six I wouldn't eat a mushroom dipped in nacho cheese, but I would down this stuff like nobody's business. This is one of those places were you probably never change your order, because it's just too good to experiment with. If the pizza itself wasn't enough to convince yourself, just take a look around the walls at the non-stop reviewers singing its praise. But more importantly, are the super-fan posters that cover the walls. I guess when you're this good, you don't need to invest in art. Don't be afraid of the crowded mess inside, because Zachary's will let you order your food as soon as you put in your name. And that's important, because for safety sake, when you smell that pizza floating around, piled up on bar stools next to people's tables, a riot could break out at any moment. This is the kind of place you order a large, knowing you can only stomach half, but the cold leftovers are an art unto itself. With the delicious flaky crust, toppings dancing with the cheese stuffed (most importantly) inside, and topped off with rich piles of chunky tomatoes, you'll never forgive yourself that you didn't go sooner. So grab a slice, dive in with a fork and knife, or pick it straight up if you're brave, and your belly will reach Good Grub euphoria before you know it. See more at www.thegoodgrub.weebly. com
Best pizza in town.
Zachary's has some of the best pizza in the world. The deep dish spinach and mushroom is to die for.
Rarely, one receives atrocious service here, but who cares? -- the pizza is just that good
Stuffed Pizza at it's best. Zachary's STUFFED pizza is great. It is not deep dished pizza, it is stuffed. It reminds one of Giordano's, which is the best stuffed pizza in Chicago. They sell thin crust pizza by the slice, but not the stuffed pizza, which I would like to see. Other wise the pizza is the bomb.
Best deep dish in the Bay Area!. Legendary deep dishes this side of the Mississippi... try the vegetarian (tomato only) pizza, they are so fresh, cheesy, and delicious. Eat in or take out, both are excellent.
Well after many years of hearing about this place I ventured to it. I got lucky and had a parking place right in front 10 feet from the door at 1145 am. on a Thursday. I had called in for my order
I saddle up and paid. My stuffed, NOT DEEP DISH, mushroom and pepperoni would be ready in 8 minutes. The people were nice it was clean . A great place for a lunch. Mine was to go. Got it, was heavy Placed inside my car and home in 15 minutes . Opened, still too hot to eat. OK. Wheres the pepperoni . I see some mushrooms. Cooled it off took a bite. WHAT THE THE BIG DEAL. It reminded me of Round Table pizza. I love Round Table. The sauce is tangy lots of herbs. But Round T. have more fresh mushroom and pepperoni. Zach is different , lots of chunky tomatoes...which is nice i guess. BUT ...what is the deal all about ?
You all are caught in a marketing type frenzy or something it is not that impressive. Blondie was/ is good pizza. I will try the thin crust next time I am in the 'hood, This is really nothing to be ga ga over
Pizza that you can leave out. Nice enviorment with friendly waiters ... some wait expected unless off hours. BUT THE POINT IS - that pizza is way too salty and that famous tomato souce on top of the pizza taste like supermarket caned pasta souce, which is very disappointing. The pizza bread is dry and tasteless. It's way worse than my neighborhood pazzeria.
