Favorite Resturant of all time.. I've been eating here for sixteen years. Everything else in my life has changed accept for my obsession with their spicey Ga Xao Lan. I work in Sunnyvale so lunch is no longer an option. On the odd weekend I'll drive past dozens of closer places to get my fix. The five stars is based solely on the food, atmosphere...not so much.

Best in Dtwn oakland. Best!! Never a bad meal after several visits. Always recommended. the food is flavorful, the staff is attentive. Can get quite busy for lunch, but worth it.

another 10. this is my favorite vietnamese restaurant. i have been going to pho 84 for the past 6 years and never i get tired of their chicken curry. everything about this place makes it the best neighborhood joint. food is always fresh and very flavorful and a wonderful friendly staff. beware, the portions are very generous!

A culinary wonder!. I have never been dissapointed in any dish here. The food is undescribably delicious and the ample portions and reasonable prices make this place a treasure. I have tried nearly every item on their menu, and some of the best dishes I've eaten anywhere on earth can be found here. The lemon pepper chicken is my strongest recommendation off their menu (It is unlike anything you could possibly be expecting, it's so good, so delicious and indescribably tasty) but you can't go wrong with any item, everything they make is extraordinarily good. The service is wonderful and decor is pleasant. It's crowded at lunch and dinner times, and has a relatively small space, so I tend to visit in off-peak hours. I really love the mango shakes also and enjoy having a Vietnamese coffee after dinner.
