AVOID SATURDAAAYS!. FOOD IS GOOD BUT EXPENSIVE , WE WENT THERE ON SATURDAY A FEW MONTHS AGO , SERVICE WAS BAD, WENT BACK AGAIN ON SATURDAY JUST LAST MONTH , SERVICE STILL BAD ; ( , WE NOT GOING BACK THERE( I still order for take out sometimes cos we like their sushi) I WILL GO BACK ANOTHER DAY MAYBE I GET BETTER LUCK AND ATTENTION .

just so so. We weren't disappointed but weren't ecstatic about this place. The food was overpriced for what we got. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't one of the best places i've eaten either. The service was pretty good, although when we walked in, nobody even looked in our direction for quite sometime. Like i said, it didn't stink but if i want really good sushi, i won't go back there.

Don't waste your time - this place sucked. I'm reasonably new to Oakland (2 years) and I was looking for a place to go on a Sunday eve. The only way this place scores a nine is if they go in and fill up the ballots themselves. (I have to believe this is what happened.) I ate the following: edamame, miso soup, sushi (red tuna, yellowtail, salmon) and a couple rolls. Nothing was good! Additionally, it was more expensive than what I 've found in the east bay. Just another disappointment in Montclair...
