Jenny Adams helped me through the process of buying my first car (Civic 2012). She was patience with me, didn't hound me. Jenny explained everything and walked me through each step. She was honest, goes the extra and made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend Honda of Oakland and go see Jenny.
Very patient – I bought a Honda Civic NGV recently and had a great experience with sales manager Montel. They gave me great price and rate and were more accommodating than other local dealers. They were very patient as I asked allot of questions to obtain my white DMV sticker and customize my sound system. Would send any friend there to buy! Highly recommend.
The vehicle is perfect. Anyone in the East Bay would want to go to this dealership opposed to the other dealerships.
Martin the finanace manager was calm throughout the purchase and Kahn Bryens took very good care of me as well. David Ruiter was very helpful and very pleasant. The service was so good that I wrote a thank you not to the dealership. I have bought my last four cars from Honda of Oakland.
Extremely fair deal – My partner, Mac, and I were in the market to get a 2011 Civic 'coupe' for him after he'd driven my 2011 Civic 'sedan' enough times to appreciate the overall package of practicality, economy, and style the Civic offers. To be honest, I'm not as keen on the 2012's bodystyle, so timing was kind of a factor to take advantage of the few remaining new 2011's still available. So, I started my search on Edmund's and found that Honda of Oakland had four 2011 coupes in stock. I requested a quote and almost immediately heard back from their Internet Sales Manager, Art Russien. After having just bought essentially the same car just 5 months earlier, and having done my prior research, I already had my target price in mind, so I started the process of what has always been for me, the long and drawn out process of negotiation, but much to my amazement, my experience with Art was anything but. The process was so superfast and easy, that before I knew it, Mac and I had the keys to the new ride squarely in our mitts. Speaking of Art, he's the kind of guy you WANT to buy a car from. Not only is the dude funny as hell and easy to work with (you feel more like you're hanging with a friend than buying a car), but he's also super honest and straightforward. You won't get any of the B.S. that you've probably experienced when trying to buy a car. On the contrary, if you buy a car from Art, you will come away from the experience knowing that not only are you getting an extremely fair deal, but you'll want to buy all your future rides from him too, and you'll want to tell your friends.
Car Buying at it's best. We had a great Experience with Montel, Isaac, Roger and the rest of the Staff at Honda Of Oakland. They even came in on their day off to see us through the process of buying a new car. I highly recommend them for any future Honda Purchases and they are even competitive with Trade In's As well. Few days ago, i bought a used Acura RL from this dealership and did a trade on my 94 JGC. Starting from my sales lady (Jen) whom was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and how she was not pushy to make the sale. Then the manager (Ashot), and the finance guy (Ivan), all of them were very helpful, and made my experience at their dealership very pleasant. Oh, I almost forgot, even their mechanic, was very helpful and went over all parts changed on the vehicle, even changed the sunglasses compartment on a used car. The other finance guy (Angel) who finalizes all sales document, unlike other dealers was very quick, and did not try to sell me anything, just explained to me my options, and that was the end of the story. My Vehicle was gassed up, even got the first oil change for free in 5000 miles and free detailing every time I take the Acura in for service. Couple of days later, I got a call from Jen ( Sales lady ), checking to see how am I doing with the car, and if there was anything more they could do for me. Over all a great experience from A to Z. I highly recommend this dealership and their personnel. Thanks Honda of Oakland.
Very satisfied – I've been a Honda driver for 25 years, with a couple of "detours" to other brands that sent me back to Honda pretty quickly. I'm brand loyal, but I feel like I've seen the good and the bad in terms of dealerships. Today I bought my second Certified Used Honda from this dealership. I bought the first one five years ago and was very satisfied with the experience. Our family has 3 Hondas, all of which we've brought here for service for many years. The service dept has had its ups and downs in the past, but I have been very impressed with their willingness to make things right when we brought problems to their attention. The problems were service related - the work on the cars has always been stellar. In the past year, no problems at all and the service has been stellar. Today's buying experience was very happy. I had spotted a used car that sounded promising on the website inventory and knew it wasn't going to last long. I went in, was treated courteously, allowed plenty of time to play with everything, make a test drive, make up my mind etc. While I was meeting with the business manager, the salesperson (Jen Adams) noticed a small chip in the windshield, and notified me of it. She said that they would fix it, no expense to me. It was something that could have been passed over, but she made sure I was HAPPY. I can't account for other people's experiences, this is just my own. After two happy buying experiences and long-term satisfaction with this Honda dealership, I am not going anywhere else.
Fully experience the car – Since I don't buy a car very often, my opinions about Honda of Oakland come from my experience at other dealerships. Here is the backstory. A few weekends ago I went to Honda of Serramonte. Once I tracked down an employee, he reluctantly allowed me and my husband to test drive a car. We were very interested in the Honda Fit, specifically the manual transmission. When he finally got the key to the car, he told us we couldn't test drive it because there wasn't enough gas in it. And if we really wanted to drive it, he'd have to take it across the street to the gas station "it will take at least 20 minutes." I suggested we drive another car while someone else on the team put some gas in the car. He declined. So we test drove an automatic transmission. Unfortunately, the salesperson/dealership have a set route for test drives. This route forbids freeway driving, and there is no opportunity to drive faster than 45 mph. Not an authentic test drive, I don't think. The following weekend, we went to Honda of Oakland. They had the car in stock (just as Serramonte did). I don't know if there was any hassle with putting gas in the car because the salesman didn't complain about it to me. He just brought the car around. As for the test drive itself, the salemsan suggested a route that took us on city streets and the freeway. I felt like I got to fully experience the car.
I just got my new accord at Honda of Oakland. The saleswoman who helped me, Robin, was extremely helpful. This is the first new car that I bought, so I did lots of research, went to lots of dealerships, got lots of different prices. Robin was very attentive, took me on 3 test drives which was helpful in figuring out what I wanted. I feel like I got a fair price, and everyone at the dealership was friendly and accessible. I went to a bunch of other dealerships and checked out a lot of cars, and I chose the accord because it is the car I wanted. But Honda of Oakland seemed like the most professionally run place of all the dealerships I dealt with in my car search. I'm a satisfied customer.
