Terrible Customer Service. The woman who "helped" me was incredibly rude and acted like I was the most annoying customer she had ever met. I just asked about making a couple necklaces shorter and she made it seem like that was the most irrational request she had ever heard. She was impatient and curt with her questions. I tried to hang in there with her because I know every one has a bad day, but I just could not stomach that kind of treatment. I gabbed my things and said I would come back later because I was so frustrated, but I will most certainly find somewhere else to go from now on.
total rip off!.
If you’re looking to be ripped off by someone with terrible customer service skills and enjoy being lied to and manipulated, this is the place for you. This is literally the worst retail experience I’ve ever had. The owner is extremely rude and has lied to me on multiple occasions. I paid $300 to have a watch fixed. They now have my money and I still have a broken watch. Here’s a summary of my bad experience with the shop:
Took a nice dress watch to Silver Linings for repair work a few months back. The crown (the part you must screw in and unscrew to set the date and time) would not screw in. I chose Silver Linings because they are located close to where I live.
The owner told me my watch needed its crown replaced and they would have their watch repairman take care of it. They quoted me a specific price. When it was time to pick it up they gave me a completely different price. I asked about the original price I was quoted and the owner said she had no memory of the conversation. The owner then convinced me that she was doing me a big favor by honoring the original price I was quoted. Should have known something was wrong then by the shady way I was being treated.
After receiving the “fixed” watch back it broke again in exactly the same way. I took it into the shop. Another person who works for the Silver Linnigs took the watch and with both hands pushed and prodded the crown back into place, then tried to convince me “see, it’s fine!” I left, unsure what to do. Clearly they didn’t know what they were doing. But they had my $300 and I still had a broken watch.
When I brought it back in a third time to explain the situation to the owner herself, I was made to feel like an idiot. She told me it was my fault, but said to give her the watch so she could fix it again. I foolishly gave her the watch. It came back again, not fixed. Again, she tried to make me feel like she was doing me a tremendous favor by correcting the original repair that was not done correctly.
When I said I just needed to take it elsewhere she reminded me that this was all my fault.
I highly recommend steering clear of this store.
piercings. piercing guns are dirty, as they are made of plastic and cannot be sterilized properly. Also they force a blunt piece of jewelry through your skin which can be more traumatic. It is always best to get pierced by a professional piercer in a reputable shop rather than by someone who had a five minute training lecture on how to pull a trigger!!
Recommended for ear-piercings!. If you're nervous about having your ears pierced, you can have both ears pierced simultaneously. They have two piercing guns, and it's so quick and painless! Great shop with great variety!
