Hidden Gem on Lakeshore.
You don't read much about this restaurant but it has become one of my favorite breakfast spots. Never much of a wait and it has outside dining on the patio at the rear of the restaurant. Waffles are great, especially the weekend special Belgium waffle with bananas and strawberries. The wait staff is attentive and keep the coffee flowing. Friends have ordered the egg dishes and rave. The food is excellent and the price is right.,

Best omelet I've ever had.
I am a breakfast person. I LOVE breakfast. Especially omelets. I grew up in the bay area, so I've pretty much eaten all the breakfast that it has to offer. The Lakeshore Omelet is hands-down the best omelet in town - and the home fries are equally delicious. It's now a staple of my Sunday mornings. Every time that I have deviated from LC, I've been disappointed. Great people/service/never wait too long.

best spot for weekend brunch!.
i love this place. it cant beb eat for weekends - great eggs, great potatoes (which i usually avoid, but cant resist here), and $1.95 strawberry mimosas all day long. the staff is always courteous and helpful without being bothersome, and dont make odd requests seem like an imposition. i once got lunch to go and the owner chased me across the street and half a block to my car to deliver the toasted english muffin that didnt make it into my bag with the rest of my order. they are super nice, the food tastes fresh and healthy, and i cant get enough of this place - especially for breakfast under $10!

great food and cute server!.
I've gone here for years now and enjoyed the food! Sometimes food is a little slow on weekends, but what do you expect when there are $2 mimosas?? Friendly staff but not too familiar. I especially love the one who keeps changing her hair!

Love this restaurant! Come here often on weekends and brought several friends for a birthday brunch who could not stop raving about how wonderful the food is. Service in the past has always been somewhat average, pleasant but don't go above & beyond call of duty. On this particular sunday, i was 10 mins late for a reservation, the owner/host was rude & said that he was about to give up my table (tho it was easter and the place was relatively empty), & hovered over my party waiting 4 us to finish. Waitress was also slightly rude but not reflective of overall staff. Go here for excellent food and the fresh & relaxed ambience.

The best brunch in Oakland.
The Lakeshore Cafe is by far the best place for breakfast and lunch in the area. The hardest thing about going to this restaurant in deciding what to order. The ingredients are always extemely fresh and the atmosphere makes the dining experience so enjoyable. You can even sit outside on nice days!

Yum!.
Great brunch spot! Casual, sunny, never too long of a wait...my current favorite is the tequila sausage scramble. Yum...eggs, tequila sausage, avocado, salsa, cheese...
Friendly wait staff, too!

great brunch!.
If you are looking for a nice, reliable, affordable, brunch and lunch place to go with a group or even with one other person....look no further. The staff is friendly. The egg dishes are really good.
