This is it!!. I can honestly say that before eating here, sushi was not my thing. After eating here, sushi anywhere else has been, well disgusting. Excuse my french. I love the Island Roll as well as the Y2K roll. I am stuffed and pleased by the end of my meal. I drink a glass of Pear wine and I'm good to go beddy bye. They should really move into a larger space.

Excellent Place to Enjoy a Delicacy. This restaurant deserves a 10. The food is fresh, great, tasty, and well-made. They take pride in their sushi and always get order correct (at least when i have been there). The staff is friendly and they have cute, talkative sushi chefs behind the bar. If you are really nice to them, they will give you free sake' and probably take a shot with you as well. They have set the bar very high and the food speaks for itself. The only bad thing about this restaurant is its' size. It could be bigger, because there is usually a wait. Hands down it is worth it. I have been to hundreds of Japanese restaurants. This is One of my favorite restaurants to visit

sushi roll. I love this place!

they have friendly serivce and great food,

I have gone here for over two years and never get tired of it.

My favorite roll is the y2k roll which is a tempura roll topped with avocado and eel and drizzled with a teriyaki glaze this is a must if you go,

the raw fish also taste extremely fresh and they have great udon.

I have been to a lot of sushi resturants and this is by far my favorite it's also very affordable,

it's also a great place to have dinner after or before seeing a movie(The Grand Lake) is just down the street.

So if your in the Lake Merrit district and want some tasty sushi stop by Mijori you WILL not be disappointed!

The wait is WELL worth it.. There's about 7 sushi restaurants in a 5 block radius here. Their all empty apart from Mijori, it doesn't take long to realize why. Mijori serves fresh fantastic tasting sushi. Their traditional sushi is great but so are all their specials. The staff are all really friendly, and the whole place is clean and positive. The ONLY negative to this place is because it is so popular there is nearly always a wait for a table. Expect 10 mins minimum on any given night, up to 1 hr at the weekend.

Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Sushi and sashimi as well as authentic Japanese cuisine can be found on the menu at this eatery.

Delicious Sushi. I love this place! I just moved to the area from San Francisco, and I have been in search of the best restaurants. I came across Mijori from a friend who recommended it to me. It was the best recommendation I've received in a long time. We ate at the bar which was really fun. The service was outstanding. The sushi was incredible. We also ordered the Salmon Terriaki Bento Box which was delicious. The prices are very resonable and the staff is great.

Best Darn Sushi in the BAY AREA! (Bold comment, I know.). I don't see how the sushi can get any better.

Really, I don't. The cuts are perfect. The fish is always fresh or Jimmy won't serve it. The prices are extremely reasonable. (I feel guilty sometimes!)

I LOVE Mijori.

Best Sushi in Oakland!. My boyfriend and I love this place. We now go there at least once a week to get our sushi fix. The rolls are huge and well priced (I really don't know what all these other people are talking about) and the nigiri and sashimi are always fresh.

The wait for a table can get a little bad, so go early before the dinner rush.
