Marcus Books stocks tomes "by and about Black people everywhere." Located in the heart of North Oakland, the space is pleasantly decorated with homey rugs and beautiful ethnic art pieces, and the walls are donned with posters of Black literary heroes. Ask the friendly staff a few questions and you might wind up enjoying an intense debate that would Marcus Garvey proud.
