Nice atmosphere - Reasonable prices. (My first review) The stylist understood what I wanted for my hair and the result was so great! I wanted a lighter color from my natural dark brown and a trim. Eugene (the stylist) cut my hair wet and dry which I've heard is better because you can see that natural shape of the hair when it's dry... The golden brown color came out really even-toned and shiny, I'm so pleased. The price was good too. $95 for a color and cut.

Great atmosphere- the place is full of orchids, well lit and clean.

I will be going back for highlights and let everyone know how that goes.

awesome beauty salon. juni is the best. i've been going there for years and the service and quality can't be beat.

i've gotten almost every kind of hairstyle done there: boycut, chin bob, long layers, high lights, styled updos, magic perm, setting perm, spiral perm. they all looked great. juni even does guy hair and my husband, who used to get $5 haircuts from any salon on the street, even admits that juni is worth it.

juni also specializes in asian hair which can't be duplicated at any super cuts or high priced salon in the city. there are several asian hair salons in chinatown, but the quality just doesn't compare to juni and you get what you pay for.

they have tons of hair style magazines to choose your hair style from, but i recommend coming in with a picture/cut out of what you want to save some time. fyi: they are super crowded on saturdays, so be sure to make a reservation. if you can swing it, try weekday mornings and afternoons.

The Japanese Straightening (Magic Strt) works!!!!. I got my hair straightened out the other day at Juni Salon and I am loving it! They took my hair from wavy/frizzy to straight/silky. It only takes me 5mins in the morning now to get out the door. No blowdrying or flat ironing.

Such a find!. I absolutely love this salon! I've been going to trendy hair salons in the city for years, and even though I live in the city - I drive out to Oakland for this salon. Amazing body wave perms, up do's, highlights! There's a gal in the salon that does amazing, natural eyebrow tattooing. I've seen so many horrible permanent make up jobs, but I am thrilled at how natural mine look. No one can tell I got them tattooed, and in fact my friends think it looks better than how I did them. The hairstylists are so professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone!

texturizing specialists. The best place to go for great perms or japanese thermal straightening. The prices are the best given their highly trained skills (japanese straightening starts at $250!). Ask for Jenna.
