Very disappointed...

by topcatwawa at Citysearch

Can’t understand why this place got such rave reviews on Yelp. Haven’t these people had decent Cambodian food ever.

Noum kreap jean – The eggrolls were extremely greasy, mostly soggy shredded cabbage with no meat to speak of.

Traop ann neun sach chhrou – The eggplant dish was the only edible dish. It’s on the sweet side; catered to American palate.

Moarn Ann Kreun – The stuffed wings were not crispy at all. Heavy curry spiced bean thread noodles, with no meat that we could detect.

The service was friendly and efficient. Too bad the food was not at to par. I gave it two starts instead of one, because of the service. Would not return.

great food and price

oh goodness. this place is too good; way better than most of the fancier, schmancier trend-aurants that we go to. We always say we'd like to try something new each time but we always stick to the same few fundamentals:

- Tomato-pinapple soup with fish... I crave this... A LOT

- Beef kabobs--- we always leave a couple for leftovers, they taste even better the day after, or as a midnight snack

- "Fried fish in a pork/ginger/bean sauce" we have no idea what it's officially called but the servers always know which one we mean... I take the soup comment back, I crave this dish MUCH MORE

their pad thai and papaya salad are pretty darn decent too. i love that my boyfriend babbles to the servers in Cambodian and I babble in to them in Cantonese, and it's no problem for them at all... pros all the way.

  • Pros: so delicious and affordable
  • Cons: parking can be difficult, especially on busy nights,

I love this place!

I'm from Orange County and every time I go up north, I go there to eat. The restaurant is a bit small, but it gives it that cozy atmosphere. I don't know the exact names of the dishes, but my favorites are the bbq beef on the stick, the soup that has fish & pineapples in it, and the appetizer that has anchovies that is served with a variety of veggies. I always end the meal with the fried bananas and vanilla icecream. The service is great and quick and the prices are cheap!

  • Pros: Delicious food, great prices
  • Cons: none

Great Cambodian Food!

by inestrinh at Citysearch

Phnom Penh is a great Cambodian spot. The staff is friendly and fast. The stuffed eggplant is my favorite and the BBQ chicken. Can be crowded on the weekends--call ahead for parties larger than 4. Otherwise one of my favorites!!

  • Pros: excellent food, friendly staff
  • Cons: crowded on weekends, parking can be tough
