sadness. What can you say about such a place. Filled with potential. It really used to be good, my wife and I would go for dinner about once a month. Now it is simply a disaster. Bad food. No wine program. Clueless servers. I would like to see Old Oakland succeed, but with the loss of LMNO, Oaktown Cafe and the downward spiral of Twist, I wonder what this area needs. Sadness.

wouldratherstarve. How this place stays in business is beyond me!

I visited Twist a few weeks ago with business clients and our whole "lunch break" meal took 2 hours. Maybe they should invest in a few more waiters to get the job done. Food was terrible. They were out of a few ingredients which we were never told.

I was ready to dine and dash because we were held hostage by waiting for the check.

utter disappointment. after much anticipation, i finally lunched at twist; it was a disaster from the start. the disorganization was shocking. the only server for the whole space attempted to turn us away, as she did to several others. we were sat at an unset table, when other tables were set, the glassware was dirty, the menu which read 'fall menu' in february was missing almost half its items. when the mediocre food arrived it did not match the description on the menu. do not waste your time or money.
