If you love seafood then you need to try this place!.
This is a very nice place if you love seafood and I DO LOVE MY SEAFOOD!
My friend and I stopped here a few weeks ago. She was home for Christmas and we were looking for somewhere to eat so we thought why not try this place! Best decision we have ever made!
The restaurant is HUGE! It also had a wonderful deck overlooking the water so if you love being by water then I highly suggest this place!
I started with the Orzo & Veggie Soup for an appetizer and it was just the best soup I have ever tasted! For dinner I got the Broiled Sea Scallops and my friend ordered the Bay Shrimp Pasta.
Both were very good and even though a little expensive it was well worth every penny!
Great restaurant to try if you haven’t already!
Michael Stagg, Owner of Scott's restaurant doesn't do the right thing..... How sad ;(. On Friday, December 7, 2007, I was at a PRIVATE Holiday Party which was held at this establishment. At approximately 11:00pm, I noticed my camera was missing from the table I was sitting at. I had set my camera down, (next to my handbag); got up to dance right next to our table and noticed a few minutes later that my camera was missing. I asked several of the wait staff if they had accidentally picked it up when they had cleared the table, and they said no. I was very upset for the fact that one, the photos on the camera are not replaceable and two, I was at a high end establishment and, three the staff was allowing several outside people into our private party. I feel this establishment is responsible for the loss of my camera and Michal Stagg is NOT willing replacing it or even give me some type of compensation. Just a warning for those who are planning to have a party here,
Great stop for lunch! Not your typical "chain-like" restaurant in a high tourist area.. If you want a nice atmosphere for a business lunch, to take a load off while walking through the Jack London Square, or to simply enjoy the water and setting, then Scott's is it. The service is great, the staff cheerful and attendant, and the food delicious. I ordered the Manhattan Clam Chowder and it was the best this side of the Appalachians. The Seafood Louie salad was chock full of crab, and the pour of wine delicious. And while the great weather and magnificent views can't be controlled by the staff, the appropriate seating at an inviting and available was. Thank you!
Overrated. I went to Scott's last night and was very disappointed. The service was excellent, but the food was gross. I had an interesting cocktail, the Pom Lemonade. This consisted of lemonade and pomegranate vodka, it was delicious but very stingy on alcohol. We started with the crab and artichoke gratin. The overwelming flavor was of mayonaise and hardly any crab or artichoke was present. My meal was the petrale sole with wilted spinach and mashed potatoes. The sole was okay, but the spinach was so greasy and the potatoes were over-processed. Considering the other reviews of this restaurant, I was very disappointed with the food.
Nice View. Nice View from Jack London Square. We went on Valentines, and it was busy, but the waitress was nice, and the Prawns with rice and veges were great. We're going back there again!
Excellent. First visit to a Scott's restaurant and we were very impressed. The service was top-notch, as was the atmosphere and food. We did not order appetizers (although they have many wonderful choices) and our main courses were brought out promptly. The crab-encrusted sword-fish was wonderful, as was the mixed platter. Servings were decently sized, but you wont have leftovers. Overall a wonderful experience.
Great service and food. Went on valentine's day for the first time in years, the calamari was great as was the salmon alla bella that was ordered. Waitress was good as well...be prepared to spend $80 minimum for 2, depending what you drink.
A classic seafood restaurant that draws loyal locals for its famed clam chowder, fresh fish and dry-aged steaks..
The Scene
Scott's offers a quiet, romantic and leisurely dining experience in an elegant setting. During workday lunch hours, the restaurant attracts a serious executive crowd that talks business over halibut and iced tea. In the evening, the mood becomes laid-back as well-dressed locals turn out for grilled prawns and cosmos.
The Food
Start with a heaping order of crisply fried, still chewy calamari accompanied by a lightly tangy lemon-and-shallot dipping sauce. The creamy Boston clam chowder is a house specialty, but the soup of the day--especially if it's the creamy summer squash--is often better. For a main course, try the buttery grilled halibut, a moist, flaky filet served with a sweet-and-salty mix of sauteed corn, fresh spinach and roasted tomatoes. Served slightly rare, the thick swordfish steak is a silky treasure encrusted in crunchy pistachios. Finish up with a classic sundae topped in luscious, warm chocolate sauce.
Worth going to!. Scott's has great food, very friendly service and wonderful location on the water!
