Cheap drinks, sports on TV and funky music are the basics at this blue-collar bar on the Oakland foothills.. The Scene
The major sporting events of the day are watched closely on a large pull-down TV screen. The atmosphere is fun and boisterous, especially when an Oakland team is playing. On weekend nights, this place turns into a dance club with old-school soul and hip-hop spun by local DJs on a small stage. A pool table and dartboard come into play on the dance floor when it's not in use. The main bar area has a dive-y feel, with black vinyl booths and a cigarette machine.

The Draw
The drinks are dirt cheap. There are no beers on tap, but a bottle of Bud is only $2.50--all the time. This is a real neighborhood bar in a tough neighborhood. Signs advertising birthdays and baby showers for the locals hang behind the bar.
