Editorial Review for End Zone – by Amanda Scotese

The Scene
Beer flags flap from the ceiling and seven gigantic TVs flash, while marquee lights and a mirrored ball speckle light over a petite dance floor. Sitting at small tables, a mellow crowd bops their heads to mainstream hip-hop songs as they scope out the singles scene.

The Draw
This pumped-up sports bar is a shrine to the Raiders--giant images of the pirate and historic photos abound. During football, basketball or baseball games, the bar is a hooting and hollering fest. Other nights can get equally as lively, like Monday's potluck karaoke or Wednesday's ladies night. Oftentimes, guests are lavished with free food, like freshly fried fish or a basic appetizer spread. Minimal covers are typically in place on weekends, when hip-hop DJs grace the decks and the dance floor swells.

When to Go

During NFL season, indulge in a New York strip steak dinner on Monday nights--but come early, because they usually run out.

Save Money

Look Good

On Fridays and Saturdays (9pm-2am), a dress code is in effect--no ratty jeans, tennis shoes or hats.
