Real Mexican food without apologies or frills..

Don't let Durango's proximity to Oakland's Hell'insrsid12210051s Angels clubhouse, wrought-iron gates, or seemingly unsophisticated oil-drum BBQs keep you away from some of Fruitvale's finest Mexican food. This is the place to go in East Oakland for spiced rib slabs, lush carnitas, saucy chicarones tacos or slow-cooked roast chicken. It's not celebrated for its bells and whistles, but Durango's pinto bean sides leave guests astonished.
