Where did they come from?. Imade an appointment with Black Cab for a morning pick and was greeted by Metro Yellow and a PRO Taxi Cab. I don't know how either of them got the reservation information, but I ended up going with the guy that new what cab company I originally called. Both of the drivers started arguing about the reservation and kept saying that if the original cab had been on time there wouldn?t have a been a mix up. My question is how did the mix up happen in the first place? The guy from Mettro Yellow cab became really angry and I wouldn't have taken his cab even if it was the last option because listening to him scream at the other guy didn't make me feel like it was a safe option to take. If Mettro is listening in on other cabs they are putting the customers in an awkward position and creating an unwanted situation. This was my first experience with cab companies in the east bay and it seems a little sketchy.

VERY UNPLESANT EXPERIENCE. My friend and i called a different taxi service saturday night 2/2/07 and were picked up but a Metro Yellow Taxi. Apparently this particullar driver listens in on other company's radio frequencies and steals their clients. This driver(taxi #75, black, male around 30 with a thick accent)

REFUSED TO LET US INTO THE VEHICLE until we showed him cash!

He then REFUSED TO BUDGE until we paid him a flat non-negotiable rate!

HE OVERCHARGED US! ($35 for under 8 miles-no traffic)(7.6: I later mapquested it)

HE SPED on the freeway! (85mph in a 65 zone)

TURNED THE METER OFF! to avoid recording the trip and correct price!

when we reached our destination we communicated to him that we knew he was attempting to overcharge us and we respectfully requested at least a partial refund.

HE REFUSED AND ORDERED US TO "GET OUT!" of the vehicle.

HE WAS RUDE, IRRESPONSIBLE, AND UNLAW-ABIDING!!!

this is my first time(and probably last) with this particullar taxi company and I hope this was a isolated incident and that Metro Yellow Cab is not prone to hiring such unworthy drivers.

I WILL BE SURE TO AVOID THIS TAXI SERVICE IN THE FUTURE AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT ONLY THOSE WHO WISH TO TAKE A RISK!
